Equine Body Condition Score

The score physical condition was developed in 1983 by Texas A & M University. Henneke The system provides a subjective method for assessing the condition of the horse. Physical condition is the amount of fat that is distributed in the body of the horse. The main areas for examining the body condition score, including the neck, withers, shoulders, ribs, loin and the approach of the tail.

The fat can be observed and digitized in the horse. In assessing the state of the body of a horseYou want to be close to the horse and feel the fat deposits in these areas. You are also able to follow the following table to determine the score for the horses. A horse is in a position where half goes in the fall of the points system. This is probably one of the few measures in the region of equineThe sector has not yet been full of controversy and is characterized by a standard. The table does not necessarily work for horses and donkeys, because they carry their fat in unusual areas, but suitable for all breeds.
